The R5 system is the first affordable combo system displaying simultaneously the three closest threat aircraft altitude and distance but also vertical trend and code. This is a significant improvement over previous generation products .In addition it features a cruise altitude alerter and an on-board A/C transponder tester. The R5 system power consumption is so low (1 watt typical) that it can operate from a small solar panel. The R5 has been ranked the best budget anti collision by the "Aviation Consumer" review and it is on their Year's 10 best list for 2004. (Glider and ultra light applications)
