It is designed to be thin so as to be unobtrusive to those of you flying with a yoke when the case is open as a lap board and to retain a sleek look when used outside of the plane. As a result, the clipboard is to be moved to the outside of the case when you want to close the lid. The clipboard includes helpful reference information. Both the clipboard and the removable knee strap can be left in the plane leaving you with a beautiful, sleek case for every day use. The iPad is not included.
