Now in its 18th year, the popular calendar program features a 1945 Supermarine Seafire for 2012. This Supermarine Seafire was a naval version of the Supermarine Spitfire, specifically adapted with folding wings for operation from aircraft carriers. This particular Seafire was ordered in July 1943 and delivered to the British Royal Navy in July 1945 prior to transfer to the re-formed 803 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Navy.
