What is the difference between ES4000 and ES4000LS alternators?
Per the manufacturer, ES4000LS is without the pulley, ES4000 is with the pulley.
On an ES4000 Hartzell alternator, what is the alternator mounting through bolt size? 7/16 seems very loose, but 1/2 is no go.
The mount boss hole is typically .440 - .445 inch diameter. A 7/16 bolt is .4375 which would be the correct size. However, it is not a "tight" fit.
