Q+A

Does this detector have to be re-calibrated occassionally? If so, how often, what's the procedure and how much does it cost? Regarding Part No. 12-01895
Per the manufacturer, they do not calibrate this instrument. They said it is not needed. Customer can calibrate if they want, but it is not necessary.

Please explain the auto off feature on this Digital CO Detector. If I want to monitor CO levels in the cockpit, what keeps it from turning itself off?
Per the supplier: The Automatic Power Off is a built in feature and unfortunately it cannot be manually turned off. Our CO detector is not meant to be used as a monitor. In order to be used as a monitor, the unit needs to have consistent power supply. When power supply level drops, the value being detected will no longer be accurate. Our CO detector is designed as a handheld device and is operated by a battery, not a consistent AC power. Therefore we need to build in this APO to preserve battery life and ensure accurate readings.
