I have installed and used many starters over the years. This SkyTec starter is the best I have used. It cranks even the high compression Lycomings through on the first attempt and is faster than the original old heavy units, slower than the first gen SkyTec units. I have not had any fail yet either which I can't say for the older SkyTec, Prestolite and Lamar units.
