The innovative Form-A-Funnel has literally hundreds of uses. For aircraft owners, it makes aircraft oil servicing a breeze. The larger model (18611) was designed to be formed into a channel that can be easily inserted into your engine compartment, weaving its way past engine accessories and into a snug position under your oil filter. After loosening the filter, the oil drains to a position outside your cowl, preventing the messes that usually occur, and keeping oil off the inside of your cowling (and off the hangar floor).Â
The flexible material holds its shape -- you can bend it around the surrounding structures in your engine compartment and it will support itself. The Form-A-Funnel's flexible lip seals against the engine case or drain port, ensuring that not a drop is spilled. No more improvised cardboard channels, and no more bulky and hard-to-clean plastic funnels!Â
The smaller model (18609) is perfect for small engine repair or servicing, automotive work, changing the oil in your air compressor, draining and pouring fluids or granular material, creating all kinds of funnels, and making improvised pans and fluid channels.
Form-A-Funnel is constructed of a thin layer of flexible metal covered with a tough outer layer of Nitrile rubber. It's reusable and will last for years. It cleans up with just a wipe, and you can store it rolled up or flat. No other funnel can go in your pocket or in the drawer of your toolbox! It resists all common aviation and household chemicals, including oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, antifreeze, battery acid and solvents.
