CLAMP KEEPER TOOL

Most mechanics can get an Adel clamp in place and a screw inserted with their fingers, but have frustrating moments trying to hold things together while getting a nut started. Precision slots on this spring steel tool slide onto and capture #8 or #10 screw threads while assembling Adel type clamps, permitting free hands to start a nut and finish tightening the clamp. Use two tools to butterfly one clamp on top of another. The outside corners are slightly rounded for safety, and each slotted end laser etched to indicate the corresponding screw sizes.

There are somewhat pricey Adel (MS21919) clamp pliers on the market to aid in such assembly, but frequently there's no room to maneuver these pliers into the places needed, especially when it would take two of them to assemble a butterfly as described above.
